The Axe

The Axe 9/365

In thickness of the trees all we see are leaves. Shapes and forms ready to catch the light. Ready to perform miracles right in front of our eyes. But we claim to be blind. Are we?

Let's push away a miracle of life. A biological complexity a billion upon billion years in the making used to feed our earth and bring us oxygen. More importantly to bring us wood. Solid material. The foundation of man's terraforming of a planet. Build with it. Burn it. Use it to help shelter your family. Use it to cook the food you eat. Use it to make art and book shelf's, and books. Light it a-blunder and see what happens. All as  a wooden toy close is pressed close to child's chest.

But your blind from the leaves in your face. A forest of doubt. A forest of confidence. A burning forest of reality. A world you want to enter but you have to use your hand to pull the branches away.

All the forest for trees leaves you moving forward. The system of building, creating, and destroying is all in our fingertips.

Pull out a pencil and sketch.
Pull out some paper and draw.
Pull out a book and read.
Pull out a chair and sit.
Take a moment and think about what you can free from your vision to free you from your prison within a miracle. Trapped in steel a forest of buildings. Brick canyons. Asphalt streams of metal and rubber.
See the heated pieces of metal that make light. See it all. Then breathe .

Take a step back, breath, and go with confidence on to the new day.

Ok. Checklist. Completed. Chop. Chop.
Chop.
